Since 1997, fourteen NIH Institutes have supported over 335 completed projects through the CIDR Program. These projects were comprised of over 440,000 samples across 9 different study designs.
To accelerate the discovery of genetic variants related to health and disease, genotype, phenotype and exposure data from recent CIDR Genome Wide Association Studies (GWAS) have been shared with the scientific community through NCBI’s database of Genotypes and Phenotypes (dbGaP) controlled access process.
