CIDR is offering new Illumina Infinium array options that have the most up-to-date content and allow researchers the flexibility to genotype samples with hundreds of thousands to millions of markers. Markers on the arrays are strategically selected to provide maximum coverage of the genome for both association testing and copy number detection. We also now offer a service for formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) sample genotyping, which greatly improves overall genotyping results.

____________

Exome Panel Array

Illumina is finalizing the SNP content of this 12 sample array which will provide >250,000 functionally relevant markers in exonic regions of the genome. The markers have been selected from ~12,000 whole genome and whole exome sequences. Please inquire for more information or pricing.

HumanOmni5-Quad

The Illumina HumanOmni5-Quad array is designed to include tag SNPs from the HapMap and 1000 Genomes projects and provides minor allele frequency down to 1%. This new array contains >4.3 million SNPs and can be customized to include an additional 500,000 SNPs. Please click here for more information on CIDR GWAS services and pricing.

FFPE Sample Genotyping

We offer genotyping solutions for investigators who have specimens that have been formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE). The FFPE process for specimen retention leads to nucleic acid degradation and base modification. Illumina has introduced a QC protocol (based on QPCR), a restoration protocol, and an optimized Infinium HD assay to maximize genotyping results. The assay is currently optimized to be used in conjunction with the Illumina HumanOmniExpress array for GWAS studies and the Illumina 450K Infinium Methylation array. In general, >80% of samples passing QC achieve call rates over 90%. Please click here for more information and pricing.
